John Cairns Law Professional Association

Like many of his clients, John Cairns is a respected leader in his community. Some of his non-profit and public service roles in the Twin Cities include:

  • Minneapolis City Council President (1971-72) and Member (1969-74).

  • Former President and Board Member of the Lowry Hill Residents Association.

  • Member, Director, and Policy Committee Chair of the Twin Cities Citizen's League since the mid-1970s.

  • Board member for the Illusion Theatre and the New Dance Ensemble in Minneapolis.

  • Former Executive Director (1979-1984) of Minnesota Business Partnership (MBP), the first business organization in the U.S. to take a serious look at achieving better outcomes for public school students.

  • Chair Elect of the Center for Victims of Torture Board of Directors.
